Worcester firefighters from Grp. 3 battled this 2 alarm fire in a 3 decka at Aetna and Mendon St. The fire appeared to start in the basement and extended up partitions. Chief Howe ordered the 2nd for relief purposes as the temperature hovered at 90 degrees. The companies rapid and aggressive attack stopped the fire at the 2nd floor.
