Worcester firefighters battle a 3 alarm fire at 61 Arlington St. in the Vernon Hill neighborhood. The building was the scene of a previous fire and was vacant as well as posted. The building is just a few doors from a fire which killed R1 FF. Jon Davies. Upon arrival of the first firefighters the rear half of the building was fully involved. The fire possessed all 3 floors and the cock loft. The temperature was 2 degrees with very windy conditions on the hill. The fire had a good head start and went undetected considering it was about 9pm and near a busy intersection. The Worcester Jakes handled another 100 year old balloon frame 3 "DECKA" with speed and expertise.
